Hurling In The USA - Awesome !
There was a recent story of the US Military forming a hurling team shows how hurling is attracting players with little or no direct Irish background. But it's not just the military in the USA are attracted to the game as this clip demonstrates. Note the reference to the California Collegiate Gaelic Athletic Association - quite a mouthful - this is their website . And in true American lingo it's predictable described as 'awesome' - which it is !

Hurling Skill - the Perfect Sideline Cut?
Appreciate the techique of the sideline cut in slow motion
Players like Joe canning make it look easy but the brilliant camera work and close up slow motion shows just how much skill there is in perfecting the sideline cut. On a par (pardon the pun) if not more difficult than a golf swing .
