Basketball Drama - Munich 1972

The event was the final of the mens basketball in the Munich Olympics of 1972 - USA v USSR. It was an era when the super-powers of East and West were enemies in every respect, including sport and this final was a sporting confrontation that had attracted plenty of interest before the game but that was nothing compared to the coverage it received afterwards.
It was a tight game all the way. Then the USA took a 1 point lead with just 1 second to go ... but scriptwriters couldn't dream up what happened in the closing second(s) ....
