All Ireland Quarter Final 31 July 2011
Cork are reigning champions and Mayo come into this game as complete underdogs and the tag seems justified as Cork get off to a flying start. But James Horan's team hadn't read the script and in a thrilling performance confounded the pundits. Witness the upset of the season.

Cork v Tipp 1984 - A Classic Munster Final
1984 was centenary year for the GAA and to mark the event the GAA even played the All Ireland Hurling Final in Semple Stadium. Cork beat Offaly in the final but it was the Munster final of that year, between Cork and Tipp, that provided the classic game.
It was Munster Final hurling at its best - hard, passionate, commitment, skill and drama as these two great teams battled it out to the end - literally.

Dublin v ??? - The Farce of 1987
Dublin v Cork - 1987 National League Quarter Final.
The teams were all square at the end of normal time. Both teams retire to their dressing room but only Dublin re-appear for the extra time. Cork (some misunderstanding or strange decision) stay in the dressing room. The ref decides to restart with Dublin facing no opposition. Rumour has it that the Cork players were getting on the bus as Barney Rock scores the easiest goal of his life and Dublin win the match.
Cork subsequently lodged a protest but was rejected.
Dublin go on to win the League
