All Ireland Quarter Final 31 July 2011
Cork are reigning champions and Mayo come into this game as complete underdogs and the tag seems justified as Cork get off to a flying start. But James Horan's team hadn't read the script and in a thrilling performance confounded the pundits. Witness the upset of the season.

All Ireland Final Day 1978 - No Ticket ! A Ladder Will Do !
1978 - All Ireland Final Day - Mayo Minors Amazing Comeback. And No Ticket? No Problem!
The Kerry v Dublin senior final of 1978 ended up as in an easy 17 point Kerry win but the Minor final that year was a thriller. With 6 minutes to go Mayo trailed Dublin by 5 points and looked all over. But an amazing late burst of scoring saw Mayo hit the back of the Dublin net 3 times and and the game ended with Mayo winning by 4 points. An amazing comeback and turnaround and for Mayo fans the hero was tall supersub Tom Byrne who scored 2 (and missed another).
The clip is also worth watching to see ticketless fans scaling the Hill 16 wall with the aid of a handy ladder while the 'garda' inside look the other way (2 shots one near the start and a better one near the end).
Those were the days !!
