Hurling

A Munster Final Classic from 1984

1984 was centenary year for the GAA and to mark the event the GAA even played the All Ireland Hurling Final in Semple Stadium. Cork beat Offaly in the final but it was the Munster final of that year, between Cork and Tipp, that provided the classic game.
It was Munster Final hurling at its best - hard, passionate, commitment, skill and drama as these two great teams battled it out to the end - literally.

What a Save ! Blink and You'll Miss It!

The action is so fast it's hard to see the 'sliotar' and makes you appreciate, even more, the super fast reflexes of Colm Callinan. The shot is hit from such short distance and from point blank range by Wexfords Rory Jacob and I bet he couldn't believe it didn't hit the back of the net.
Gotta watch the slow-mo replay to fully take in the quality of the save.
Superb!

It's All Ireland Final day 2011. Kilkenny have featured so often it's hard to remember a year they didn't play in the final - or it seems that way. Back in 1972 they faced Cork in the final and the legendry Eddie Keher scored 2-9 that day. This goal is ranked as one of the best!
