Gaelic Trick Shots - Cud Ya?

25 Sep 2011

Meath 2011 - Unbelievable Skills !!
Be amazed at the skills in these trick shots with a gaelic football. Performed by Meath lads Caolan and Fiachra Ward (brothers of Meath star Cian Ward) and filmed recently, taking about 3 weeks I gather.
It's so impressive you will probably want to watch it again just to see if it's clever camera work or the real thing. It's the real thing !

Is This the Oldest Video Clip of GAA ?

Silent Movies from 1926 as Kerry play Kildare.

The 1926 Football Finalists were Kerry and Kildare. This match in the clip was played on 6th Sep (a Monday) and ended in a draw : Kerry 1-03 Kildare 0-06. A last minute point by Bill Gorman (Kerry) forced the draw. After the game, Kerry's centre back Jack Murphy put his clothes back on without taking off his playing gear, and died of pneumonia before the replay on 17th October (a Sunday) which Kerry won 1-04 to 0-04

2011 - Will It Be the Dubs Year?

6 Sep 2009

Dublin have had any number of heartbreaks over the past few years in the quest to get back to the All Ireland Final for the first time since 1995. Kerry, Cork, Mayo, Tyrone... they have all proved a step too far for recent Dublin teams but Pat Gilroy has steered the ship expertly in 2011 and they have got there.
Just one more step to go but can they do it against the All Ireland Final specialists - Kerry?
